This week’s style file features bedroom styling with the latest finds from one of my favourite homeware brands, TKMaxx.
I don’t know about you, but I love getting an email inviting me to check out the latest offers. Yes I’m a marketers dream! Even when I’m not particularly looking for something, my curiosity always gets the better of me. On my latest trawl of the Home section on TKMaxx online, I spotted some fab bedding, inspiring a bedroom decor scheme.
Warm, earthy hues are still so hot right now. I’ve recently used a gorgeous Terracotta shade on my kitchen walls and it’s given the space such a vibrant and warm feel.
Paired with darker accents and metallic accessories, spicy, orange tones can create a stunning look and feel.
The texture and hue of a wooden table would work great with this colour palette. However, I would switch it up and opt for a contrast, such as this Cream Single Drawer bedside table. The gold legs and carved design on the drawer front adds a touch of glam. It comes in at an affordable £69.99.
Table lamps placed on either side of the bed act as a frame and add a nice symmetry. This quirky black and gold dome lamp would be a beautiful contrast to the cream bedside table. I also spotted a super stylish black and gold dome ceiling light that would pair well.
I always like to see a rug in a bedroom as it adds the feeling of warmth, especially on wooden flooring. It’s also another way to layer textures. I think this cream patterned rug would work well alongside the bedding – and I do love to mix up patterns! The rug is available in a whopping 170 x 120cm option and sells for £69.99.
I found a couple of amazing decorative pieces. Firstly, a large Rust coloured Abstract Art, which would look fantastic placed above the bed. The print is 50x70cm in size and is selling for £29.99. The print has a gold tone frame and gold accents and would be a fabulous focal point.
The second piece is this grey clay pot on a black stand, with an interesting concentric circle design. At a mere £14.99 you can’t go wrong!
So that’s a whistle stop tour of the bedroom mood board I’ve pulled together this week. All items mentioned are currently on the TKMaxx website, as of 15th June 2021. If there’s anything that takes your fancy, jump to it as we all know things don’t hang around for long!
